Hi, my name is Paul and I am a specialist in both accent reduction (helping you to be clearer and easier to understand) and in developing a modern standard British accent (think Tom Hiddleston or Gemma Chan).
I am currently based in Prague, and prior to my teaching career, I worked in finance and as an actor.

I starting teaching English in 2017 and since then have taught many hundreds of different students from teenagers to older adults, in groups and individually, from A1-C2, in-person and online, covering business law, general English grammar, vocabulary, writing, listening and speaking.
But the thing I love most is to coach people to change their accent. I have so much fun in lessons and I'm passionate about developing my own skills and knowledge, as I help my students to develop theirs.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
Conversation with me is friendly, respectful, hopefully intelligent and funny sometimes too. I will correct any significant mistakes I hear, but I will also join in with topic as well.
Pronunciation exercises include technical instruction, and mirroring (trying to copy my sounds) as well as freer practice using pieces of writing that I like.我的教学资料

This was my first lesson with Paul, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. He was very competent, put me at ease, and explained everything clearly and precisely (which is really not easy when it comes to pronunciation).
