Hi there! My name is Reid, and I'm thrilled to be your English tutor. Based in Washington, D.C., I offer relaxed, practical, and engaging lessons designed to help you speak with confidence in the real world.
I’ve spent several years living and working across Europe and Africa, an experience that taught me how much I love meeting people from different backgrounds. Living in the U.S. capital, I’m constantly surrounded by a mix of different cultures and perspectives, and I love bringing that variety into our conversations. Having studied Portuguese, German, and Spanish through work, travel, and dedicated study, I know firsthand the challenges of building fluency. My teaching style is focused on making English practice fun, natural, and highly relevant to your life. In our first lesson, we’ll start by discussing your specific goals and interests so I can design a learning path that is unique to you. From there, we can practice your skills by discussing current events and news, having free conversations about our daily lives and culture, or engaging in fun activities and games. After each session, I’ll provide personalized feedback and resources to help you keep practicing and stay motivated between our lessons.
