I'm a native Hungarian, and I've spent most of my life in Budapest, but I've lived in other countries as well, especially somewhere in Southeast Asia, which had a great influence on me and my way of thinking. I think I get accustomed to other cultures pretty easily, and when I travel and I'm somewhere for more than two days, I try to speak their language a bit. And since the net started, I've really had plenty of contacts or friends from all around the world. As for teaching, most of my students come from Slavic countries, the Americas and China these days, who knows why. :) I have a university degree, of course, I'm a master of arts in language teaching and linguistics with more than 25 years of experience in various schools, corporate courses and private tuition, including about 15 years of online teaching, and I've had lots of publications, books, teaching materials, etc. But the most important thing is how much fun I have with my students, how we respect each other and how we work together. They inspire me and I inspire them, we have success together, and this is great. I don't know how many thousand students I've had, probably more than ten or fifteen, quite a couple of them from distant countries around the world, and we've always been getting along well. My teaching style? Friendly, relaxed, humorous... I never say you have to do this or that, we just talk and do it and you don't notice that we're working, you just enjoy it. And later you're surprised at your results,...

George is wonderful. He's been helping me fix some of the early grammar that I didn't learn well enough the first time. I worried about re-starting the language because it is usually quite frustrating, but it hasn't been frustrating at all with him. All of the material he's created is very clear and helpful.

Mr. George seemed polite; however, his teaching methods do not suit me. He teaches using pictures containing too many random elements, and in the end it is not really clear what exactly is in them or what their purpose is. I hesitated whether to write this review because I did not want to harm Mr. George. However, today I had an interview regarding an online Hungarian course organized by a language school in Hungary, and I was offered a place in a group currently studying at B2+ level. Mr. George wanted to teach me from very beginning. The problem, as I see it, is that Mr. George does not really take into account the needs and level of his students. For example, when I asked if we could practice the imperative mood and conditional forms, I was told that Mr. George covers such topics much later, and instead we returned to describing the picture of the cat sitting on a banana...
