Hello! I'm a qualified language teacher and translator. My multifaceted work experience includes working as a language assistant and teacher in Austria, and as a desk clerk, translator, and Italian and German teacher in Italy. In 2012, I obtained a master's degree in modern languages and literature from the University of Pisa, and in 2015 a DITALS I teaching certificate.
Ciao! Sono un'insegnante di lingue, con formazione specifica. Ho una laurea magistrale in lingue e letterature straniere e una certificazione DITALS I per l'insegnamento dell'italiano. Sono stata tutor e insegnante di italiano in Austria; traduttrice, impiegata e insegnante di italiano e tedesco in Italia.

I think it is important to make learners feel at ease, and to avoid overwhelming them with information. I like listening to people and let them express their doubts and describe what they would like to learn, so I can help them cope with difficulties and become more curious.
Per me è importante mettere gli apprendenti a proprio agio, senza sommergerli di informazioni. I think communicating means getting in touch with people in the most effective, respectful and correct way. For this reason, I use authentic learning materials for my lessons. At the same time, I help learners manage the most formal aspects of the language.

Caterina is an excellent choice for improving one's italian skills. She has a strong command of the English language and she also has a good understanding of Spanish, therefore she helps me choose the right words for the meaning I want to convey when I make a mistake or can't find the right italian words. I look forward to her lessons and it helps that is a joy to communicate with her and share information about life experiences.
