Community tutor for the Italian language Hello, my name is Lorena, I am 21 years old and I was born and raised in southern Italy, very close to our beautiful sea. I study Tourism Organisation Management at university in Lecce, the city of Baroque. I love travelling and I personally organise every holiday, from day trips to longer journeys. I love reading and writing, especially about my adventures. But most of all, I love studying foreign languages and here on Italki I have been trying to improve my English.
I have experience teaching various subjects, mostly to high school students who need help growing. I hope to be a friendly tutor for you, always ready to help you and introduce you to my country and my language. Italy is a wonderful country, and I hope that if you learn Italian with me, you will appreciate it even more.
Our lessons will be enjoyable conversations about all the topics you love. We will decide together whether to structure them, perhaps by reading articles or starting with interesting online videos, or whether to freewheel and let ourselves be carried away. In addition, we will decide together when to correct your mistakes: during the lesson or at the end. We will reflect together on what works and what doesn't, and we will create an environment conducive to learning a language in the most natural way possible.
