Hello, everyone, My name is Ikuko, native Japanese. My home town is Sapporo city, north of Japan, also had lived in Tokyo for 10 years. I have been in Canada since 2017. I really like to talk to people who have passion to learn language because Learning language is the most interesting thing for me. みなさん、こんにちは。私の名前はいくこです、札幌市で生まれ育ち、東京にも10年間住んでいました。私は2017年からカナダに滞在しています。言語を学ぶことは私にとって最も興味深いことなので、私は言語を学ぶことに情熱を持っている人々と話すのが本当に好きです。 I have taught my students before I became a Italki tutor. I have a clear, neutral Japanese accent which can be understood all over Japan. According to your needs, goal and your level, I will customize our lessons. In first class, after self introduction, I will ask your needs, what do you want focus on ( pronunciation, reading, writing, conversation etc..) then find the best way to make your Japanese improve. I belive what need to improve language is to speak a lot, so I will ask you questions a lot to make you speak then, I will feedback you. Depends on your needs, we can just enjoy chating!

Ikuko sensei was very engaging in a sense that she was always very interested in what I had to say. She also spent a lot of effort trying to understand my needs and goals. I really appreciate as a first lesson that she used appropriate speed and words that are not too hard for someone like me and I really enjoyed the opportunity for practicing outputting/speaking out loud.
