¡Hola! I’m Robert—a bilingual Texan with roots in Mexico and a TESOL-certified English/Spanish tutor. Growing up in Odessa, Texas, I accidentally became an ESL helper in high school (despite being a native speaker!). That’s where I discovered my knack for breaking down language barriers with patience and humor. I like to focus on English lessons that are interesting to my students, making them feel comfortable so they get more involved in the subject. Robert is a truly wonderful Spanish teacher. He is incredibly kind and patient, and creates a warm and inviting atmosphere to practice language-learning. I really appreciate his ability to ask great questions to start a flow of conversation, and also how much he encourages pausing conversation to cover grammar points and vocabulary to help with the learning process. I found him to also have an incredible presence, and that he is an interesting person to talk with. I greatly look forward to more lessons with Robert, and highly recommend him to all!

I just had a three week trip to Mexico and for the first time I wasn’t afraid to try to speak Spanish with those around me. It was a wonderful experience and I give full credit to Roberto for making me at ease. I can’t wait to learn more.
