Angie Ospina

Angie has been teaching me Spanish 2 hours a week for 6 months, and I have surpassed all of my expectations. During our first lesson, I struggled to introduce and talk about myself. Now, I can speak with my Mexican neighbor about most any everyday topic. Within a few weeks, I was able to speak almost entirely in Spanish during our lessons. Angie has given me the confidence to start conversations that I wouldn't have gained from apps like Duolingo alone. Angie is kind, patient, flexible, and fun to talk to. Some of my favorite, most-impactful lessons have been about nothing but what we did during the weekend or a memory from my childhood. Her teaching methods are varied, and she knows how to target the skill area you need most. If you want to achieve fluency, there is no replacement for real conversation, and Angie is among the best.

This review has been a long time coming, so here it is finally 😅 I have been working with Angie for over a year now off and on and she has been nothing but amazing! She is very friendly, very motivating, and very flexible with my busy, ever-changing schedule. I had previous Spanish experience, which she noted and adjusted for me. Furthermore, I am primarily interested in improving my medical Spanish, which she was not overly familiar with--so we compromised and found some relevant medical Spanish articles. We go through them together and discuss the content and terms, which is a helpful excercise. I look forward to working with her more in the future! 😊
