Luisa gave a fantastic first lesson, and I’m already looking forward to the next one. She pays close attention to her students and takes the time to understand what will work best for them and their individual learning style. One of the things I appreciate most about her teaching, aside from how genuine and caring she is, is that she doesn’t follow a “one size fits all” approach. She tailors the lesson to you, rather than expecting you to conform to a rigid lesson plan. I felt comfortable, engaged, and genuinely supported throughout the lesson. I highly recommend Luisa, and I’ll certainly be continuing to take lessons with her regularly.

Luisa is super patient and flexible with her lessons - both putting up with my messy scheduling problems and my convoluted thoughts processes! She is really wonderful explaining all my questions from the easy to the very difficult and lets me lead the direction through our lessons, even if it is not the most textbook path forward. She is very personable and easy to get along with, which makes it that much easier to have (bad) conversations together in my target language.

We are learning German with Luisa two-on-one and it has been really great. She is very flexible and lets us focus on topics that we most need to focus on, adapting as we go without forcing a particular curriculum. She provides good learning tools and practice on topics that have perhaps not been so clear in prior classes. She is extremely patient even when we get frustrated or are disappointed. Her classes and homework are always well-structured and thoughtful.

Learning German with Luisa has been wonderful. She is reliable, prepared, and great at explaining the why behind the tricky aspects of German. Her passion for language is obvious and she makes learning fun.
