Hello, everyone! I am Elena. I am from Guangzhou, a city in south China.
My Chinese name is Jiaxian; I am a native speaker of Mandarin and Cantonese.
I have been working as a language school teacher in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English for over five years. I mainly teach international students. In the classroom, I teach the language and share cultural and historical knowledge.教学经验
I already have 7 years of experience in online teaching, with certification to teach Chinese and English to adults and children. Also, I have completed IELTS teacher training courses with a certificate.
When I was in New Zealand for a working holiday a few years ago, I realized that learning their language is always the best way to know more about different cultures. That's why I want to help people who learn about the Chinese language and culture. We talked about our day, today, and it branched off into other topics. And then we went on to the reading material. Whenever I wasn't sure of a word to express myself, I would ask, and my teacher would tell me and write it down for me to review. Her teaching style is great!

Today, as per usual, we just talked about our day, and it branched off to other topics about food. And then we moved on to reading exercises. As I went through them, she would ask questions regarding the topic being read. As usual, if I didn't know the word to express myself, I would ask, and she would let me know, and write it down for me.
