Hi everyone!
My name is Jonathan, from the German city Leipzig.
After my high school exams in 2019 I begun traveling and discovered Italki. I started to love it more and more and taught over 100 students from different countries so far. Since October 2020 I am studying psychology at the university of Halle. I am eager for the opportunity to get in contact with other people and other cultures. I play different sports and love to play music. I'm open-minded and I want to communicate my thoughts and feelings. There are many things we can talk about. I am a "Community tutor" here on Italki for about 3 years now. During that time developed different approaches to teach a variety of student types. Very recently I got my certificat for teaching german as a foreign language. I love talking to people and hearing their storys. At the same time it's a big pleasure for me to see improvment of the student's langauge skills.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
There are two main indicators for a good lesson: On the one hand obviously the progress, the student is achieving. On the other hand, and that's often less obvious: The experience the student has, the grade of enjoyment he/she feels. So my main objective is to consider both of these, by figuring out an individual strategy for every student. Of course this can be just simple conversations about specific interesting topics, based on articles or other material. But the depending of the students level, this can also be teaching grammar rules in a fun and progressive way. Es ist immer toll mit Jonathan zu sprechen.Er hat mich immer sehr geduldig ermutigt, Deutsch zu sprechen, und hat mich umgehend auf meine Fehler hingewiesen. Außerdem habe ich in dieser Klasse eine Menge neuer Vokabeln und Ausdrücke gelernt, so dass ich viel Spaß hatte!

Jonathan is a well-prepared and patient teacher that always takes time to fully answer any questions that I have. The lessons are well-organized, and he consistently provides material that is appropriately challenging for a beginner like me. Probably the best endorsement I can give for Jonathan is that I look forward to every class and look forward to learning what is next. With his classes, I feel that my progress with German is much faster than with some of the other languages that I've learned.

Jonathan is an open-minded person and is constantly smiling, it’s always nice to chat with him! I was looking for someone to regularly talk to, so that I can improve my fluency without being continuously interrupted to correct even the smallest mistakes. I like the way he waits for the appropriate moment to discuss about the errors and that he even points out how something can be better phrased. Highly recommended!

Es ist immer noch sehr spannend, mit ihm Deutsch zu lernen. Unsere Freundschaft hat angefangen, als ich auf Niveau A1-A2 war. Jetzt bin ich auf B2. Am Anfang hatte ich immer Bauchschmerzen als ich Deutsch sprechen musste. Aber ich habe das Gefühl mit Jonathan sehr schnell überwunden.
