My name is Hisham, and I’m teaching Arabic and Russian on italki.
I’m from Beirut, Lebanon, so I’m a native speaker of Levantine Arabic and I have worked for years as a translator and proof reader, so I have a long experience with classic and standard Arabic too.
I lived in Russia for 8 years where I obtained my diploma in medicine, and my certificate of teaching Russian for foreigner.
Aside from my job as a doctor and translator, I’m a musician and yoga teacher. My interest range from travelling, hiking and outdoor activities to reading and digging into details of cultures and histories… I’m sure we can find lots of common interests that would make our lessons amusing.教学经验

I use a broad range of materials to aid learning, including videos, songs, articles and classic literature for advanced learners. Depending on the student’s level and need, I customise learning content and utilise a diverse collection of resources to guide them to the next level.
I focus as a teacher on guiding and instruct each student in a positive, flexible, and encouraging learning environment, taking into consideration the student's subjects of interest and goals so that they can progress confidently towards the level of language they are aiming at.我的教学资料

I couldn't ask for a better language teacher than Hisham! He is a rare find, especially for Levantine Arabic. Native speakers I know are impressed by not only his curriculum's scope and sequence ("scope" meaning the topics he covers and "sequence" meaning the order in which they're taught), but also how flexible he is in teaching things just for me along the way! "Oh, this guy knows what he's doing," to quote one woman :)

These classes are great!!! If you like structure, this is a great choice.
Hins has a great technique of delayed correction where he makes you try to fix your own mistakes, and uses your mistakes to teach you grammar and vocabulary. Lots of practice to drill the new structures and vocabulary into your head as well!
He also brings in authentic material for our class and is very patient going through it. He assigns homework to make sure I’m practicing outside of class and preparing for the next class. I’m excited to continue!
