I have been attending conversation practice lessons with Diana for the last 3 years, once every 1 or 2 weeks to supplement my formal classroom lessons. I originally sought Diana as I am a Malaysian-Chinese diaspora. When I first started, I could barely speak a sentence without getting stuck. Now, I am able to maintain conversations for an hour with Diana on a wide range of topics such as parenthood, hobbies, society and culture. Despite me rarely doing my homework, Diana’s patience and encouragement keeps every lesson enjoyable, and I leave with some new vocabulary every week.

Diana is the most wonderful tutor I've ever met,

Diana taught me a lot of things today. She taught me interrogative pronouns, family member vocabulary and numbers. She also provided mp3 files of native Malay pronunciation and she listened to my feedback. Diana is a caring, supportive and kind teacher. She commends me a lot whenever I get something correct, often telling me, "Good job." In our classes we play many games, mainly memory games and they are always a lot of fun. They have the right amount of challenge but are not too overwhelming. Diana always asks how I am doing and adapts the class to suit my needs. Diana is great at getting me to think about my thinking. She never tells me the answer straight away but asks me questions to help me find the answer on my own. Sometimes she uses hints. Diana is a great teacher and I would highly recommend her to anyone wishing to learn Malay.

Mrs. Diana is incredibly warm and patient, a quality that has made her classes a favorite among my kid. Her enthusiasm and approachability create a welcoming learning environment where kids feel encouraged and supported. It's clear she puts a lot of thought and care into her teaching methods, making each lesson not only educational but also engaging and fun for the little ones. This level of dedication is what sets her apart and why she's so appreciated by both parents and students alike.

Diana was very punctual and started off the lesson with introductions. She then asked me my goals for learning Malay. Diana has a brilliant sense of humor, she always makes me laugh at least once during the class. She is magnificent at teaching me the Malaysian accent and pronunciation. For example, how to pronounce the 'e' in Malay and what consonants to be accented. i.e. k and p are accented. She was very creative in the lesson, playing Malay games. It was a lot of fun. Diana adapted her teaching style to my learning preferences, choosing not to overwhelm me with too much Malay vocabulary. When revising Malay words, she never gives you the answer straight away. Instead, Diana always asks questions and guides you to finding the answer on your own. This requires a lot of patience and is a sign she is a marvelous teacher.
