Ahoj! My name is Jan - I’m a native Czech speaker from Ostrava. I am a concert pianist and piano teacher, currently studying in Helsinki, Finland.
I love creating new connections, talking about cultural differences, and discovering what makes people tick. Languages and music are my biggest passions, but I also like reading, exercising, and treating my friends to home-cooked meals.
Whatever your motivation, I’ll tailor our lessons to your needs. Learning Czech because you like linguistic puzzles? Bring it on! Adapting to a new culture? Oh, I know the struggle! :D

Jan is a really awesome teacher. He keeps the conversation going with a lot of interesting questions and is really fun to talk to. I always look forward to our lessons and learn a lot!
