Hello! I'm Joey. I'm from Atlanta, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. I have a Bachelor's degree in finance from Kennesaw State University. I love playing guitar and singing, learning languages, and talking to people from other cultures. I currently live in the Dominican Republic. I also speak Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, and a little bit of Japanese and Arabic.教学经验
I believe that students learn best when they are interested in what they are learning, when they have fun, and when they are encouraged! I see myself as a very friendly and encouraging teacher. I try to help my students reach their English goals, whatever they may be, and have fun while doing it!
*My Policies*
Breaks- I use the 5 minutes of break time permitted to teachers by italki when I have 2 lessons back to back with no time in between. This helps me stay punctual to lessons and gives me time to stretch too!
Kids- I teach kids, but this may change in the future. I use common judgement on what content is appropriate for kids. I expect parents to inform me of any unique restrictions.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
My favorite way to teach is just by having friendly conversations about topics that interest my students, offering tips and corrections along the way! I also really enjoy teaching English idioms and phrasal verbs, and coming up with examples for my students so they can understand how we as natives use them. Also, I'm willing to spend time on any subject in particular, if students come to me with any specific questions or want to practice a specific aspect of English grammar.5.0
