Anna Rgz Casadevall

Anna is a fantastic teacher, she makes the Catalan language alive. She is very animated and good at motivating me. Her knowledge of English gives her insight into some language structures that I try to use but which are not appropriate. I highly recommend her. I have studied several languages over many years and know a good teacher when I see one!

Fascinating conversation as always! We talked for a while, with Anna noting in a Google doc aspects of vocabulary and grammar that I struggled with. Then we took a break from conversation to go over those, then returned to conversation. That alternation worked very well for me. Anna's ability to see what would work well for me, as an individual, showed her skill as a teacher. She also is exceptionally fluent in English, so could explain very subtle differences in meaning between different words and phrases in Spanish.

Anna is a great teacher because she succeeds in adapting the lessons to the skills and interests of the students with maximum flexibility. She still always helps you advance with grammar and vocabulary aspects without making it boring. Anna can share lots of knowledge about language and cultural life which she includes in the conversation practices. Open minded and an interesting conversation partner, full recommendation!

Anna is truly excellent at what she does. She focuses not only what her students need to learn, but makes a real effort to understand why they want to learn a language, which in turn informs the how. She clearly puts a great deal of effort into her students and each lesson, and really does manage to personalize the content. Lessons with Anna aren’t just about learning words or phrases, but about understanding the cross-cultural context. Couldn’t recommend enough!
