I’m Pedro, I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro — so I’m a Carioca. I'm an electronics 💻 and agroecology 🌿 technician, but I’m currently working in IT for the government, in Foz do Iguaçu, in the state of Paraná.
I love learning languages, meeting new people, new cultures, reading, writing, traveling, playing board games, going to the gym, watching films, hiking, and talking about a wide range of topics, such as psychology, philosophy, linguistics, environment, education, theology, religion, and so on.

👉🏻 I’d describe myself as a resourceful, flexible, empathetic, and patient teacher. In class, I do my best to make the student feel comfortable speaking and challenged to improve their skills.
👉🏻 I'm part of a lovely protestant church that offers several cultural activities for the kids and teenagers in my neighborhood. For 2 years, I worked there as a volunteer teaching English and French to a group of them — and that was great!
👉🏻 Since 2021, I’ve been here on iTalki as a Portuguese tutor, helping people of all levels and various nationalities to master my mother tongue!
👉🏻 I’m a language learner, just like you! Today, I can speak English, Spanish, and French fluently.
👨🏫 I consider my lessons quite practical, dynamic, and always tailored to cater to your needs, interests, and level.

I had a great lesson with Pedro. He encouraged me to complete the lesson entirely in Portuguese even in our first one. He is VERY thorough and writes down each word or phrase that we learned together on the call for us to review. I really appreciated that. I can't recommend him enough.
