I have been learning Italian on and off for a few months, trying different online tutors and language learning apps with mixed results. I finally found Valeria who immediately demonstrated a much more thorough approach to language learning, and has helped me quickly improve my level in Italian in the few weeks I have been taking classes with her. Valeria follows a more holistic approach to language learning covering listening, speaking, reading and writing (most other online tutors have an unbalanced focus on oral conversation). Also unlike most other online tutors, Valeria covers a decent amount of grammar and conjugation with the student, but does so progressively to not overwhelm the learning process. Valeria shares a sizeable set of materials which she goes through during her classes, giving the opportunity to go over the material in my free time to review any points from the class. If you are serious about learning Italian, I highly recommend you book a class with Valeria.

I have really enjoyed my lessons with Valeria. She has a great demeanor as an instructor and is able to adapt each lesson to the student / skill level. I find her to be very relatable and easy to talk to, which makes the conversation more comfortable for a new learner. Highly recommend!

Great teacher

I have been taking lessons with Valeria for about 6 months, after having completed the Duolingo Italian program. At first, I had a lot of trouble understanding basic sentences and expressing myself, but over time I’ve become able to hold simple conversations and discuss topics for an entire hour. Valeria is extremely patient and supportive and adapts her lessons and homework to the areas I most need to develop. I’m genuinely pleased and surprised how quickly my language skills are developing and happy that I chose to study with Valeria!

Valeria is a wonderful teacher and person. With a personal touch, always motivating and helping us to learn more and more, to improve and use new words and expressions, either by formal exercises, or by reading and commenting about a book, articles or themes all but boring that really stimulate our passion for learning and improving. In Italian I would say without doubt that our lessons are "Con i fiocchi e controfiocchi".

It was a great lesson to discuss about how it is great to have so much daylight at this time of the year, especially in Eastern Europe where the sky is light up until 11 PM. We then discussed about the whole story of the book since the beginning of Chapter 1 and it allow me to do storytelling in Italian. Valeria was helping me to find the word to express my point of view on the characters of the story.
