My name is Ian and I'm from Northampton in the UK. I have been a teacher for the past 14 years and my teaching career has taken me all over the world. I have taught in England, South Korea, Hungary, China and Tbilisi, Georgia but nowadays I live in the rainy city of Manchester! My passions include reading non-fiction books, hiking and exploring new places with people I love.教学经验
I am a fully qualified English teacher with 14 years of experience teaching students from all over the world and of all different levels. I started teaching in 2010, earning my CELTA qualification in 2012 and completing my DELTA in 2018.

I specialise in teaching advanced levels and IELTS exam preparation. However, throughout my career I have taught everyone from beginner to advanced and from students to CEO's and I can plan lessons for students of any level.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
My lessons are interactive and designed to give you the most effective and authentic speaking experience possible. Each lesson is planned and structured around a specific aspect of English - Grammar, Speaking, Reading, Vocabulary, Listening etc. - and I use a range of different materials including PDF books, YouTube videos, TED talks, PowerPoint presentations and more. I like to have meaningful discussions that are indicative of the real-world and I try to avoid discussing ‘boring’ topics such as the weather, vacations and hobbies. Additionally, I have a passion for books and as such I have developed comprehensive English courses around some of the most popular nonfiction books available.我的教学资料
