Hi everyone! :)
My name is Marisa, I come from Lisbon, and I am very excited to teach you my native language. I have studied Linguistics (bachelor's and master's); My studies inspired me to learn new languages, and to open up this avenue of discovery.
I love nature, most especially hiking, long walks into the woods and visiting deserted beaches. In the evenings, I like going to live concerts, jazzy vibes are always my go to.教学经验
I started my experience as a Portuguese language teacher in Spain, I taught there for over 3 years. I find it amazing to track the student's progress, and see how they would feel more comfortable with the language as we invested in this journey.
Communication is key. It's important that you feel engaged in the classes by speaking and practicing the language in contexts that would sound more natural to you. 我提供的课程和我的教学风格
I like to focus on conversation skills. To help you improve it, I use videos, audios, articles, and games with interesting topics which will motivate you to speak. The grammar explanations, new vocabulary, and exercises would be integrated into the topics discussed.我的教学资料

Today's lesson foccused on pronunciation and a role play. Quite challenging but necessary for me. Marisa was calm and patient and provided good explanations where necessary.

Another very good lesson with Marisa. She introduced me to the idea of using a quiz to test and expand my knowledge of Portuguese. This was my first time of using a quiz as a learning tool. It was hard but it worked!
