My name is Giovanni and I was born in Turin in the north of Italy. I have lived abroad for many years. Way back in 1994 I went to live in Dublin in Ireland where I worked and studied for 6 years and then moved to Wales in the United Kingdom to study for the Bachelor of Arts in Documentary Photography. I lived in the U.K. and Ireland for about 12 years. In 2006 I moved to Bangkok in Thailand to teach English for a private language school and later on I found work at the Italian Academy of Fashion and Design as a teacher of Italian, English and photography. I also taught Italian at the first University of Thailand in Bangkok called Chulalongkorn. Now I live in Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand.
In 2005 after obtaining my Bachelor Degree from the University of Newport I studied at the University of Cardiff and achieved the PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) which is the necessary qualification in the United Kingdom to be able to be a teacher. In 2006 I moved to Bangkok in Thailand to teach English and Italian. I am a teacher who likes to be flexible, given the many years spent in different countries I am able to understand students from different cultures. My lessons are always targeted at each individual. I am a teacher full of enthusiasm and with many years of experience. I always encourage students to ask questions. I am very friendly and approachable.

This was the final session of oral exam preparation. Though the reading in question was not incredibly interesting, the opportunity to practice speaking naturally certainly was! Again, Giovanni provided guidance, correction and refinements on pronunciation, conjugations, and minor points of grammar. He also provided examples of phrases to express certain ideas in natural and idiomatic Italian. Again, a fun experience. My only issue is that an hour flies by so quickly!

Oggi abbiamo avuto una lezione emozionante! We looked at a homework that included pictures from my weekend, and Giovanni even shared some pictures for his life! This type of studying is fun because it gives great examples of typical conversations, and it makes me feel like Giovanni is a great friend instead of a teacher. Grazie Giovanni- a domani!

For the first part of the lesson, we reviewed the results for my written assessment. In the second part, we studied some of the more advanced uses if the pronoun, 'ci', with the intention of doing the same with the advanced and idiomatic uses of 'ne' in the coming weeks. 5 stars - a great session as always. Today was a continuation of the oral exam preparation. This again involved reading a text and answering questions. Again, I tried to answer in a free-form manner, and Giovanni supported me with corrections and guidance on certain unfamiliar (to me) expressions, vocabulary and conjugations. Very beneficial!
