Though I'm originally from Puerto Rico, I have had the opportunity to experience many cultures through travel. I value people, unity, and love. I love the meaning that all of our favorite things give to life. I have a Bachelors in "Intercultural Studies." Studying cultures, languages, and people groups makes me so giddy and is something that I will continue for the rest of my life!

I above all strive to be patient and kind. I know personally what it is like for others to be frustrated with you because of the lack of ability to communicate. It takes away all the fun and wonder of what speaking a new tongue is. As I am currently on my very own language-learning journey, I believe I can relate to the struggles, insecurities, and hurdles you may face on your journey as well. I also really enjoy having a good time. My goal is that all of our lessons would feel more leisurely and less like work. I believe we learn most efficiently in a safe and fun environment.

When it comes to informal tutoring, I have numerous language tips and study tools I have personally used in my language journeys that I would love to share with you. If conversationally-guided learning is more your style, I have a myriad of possible topics to help improve your ability to discuss numerous subjects in your target language. However, I am open and interested in speaking about what you as the learner are passionate about or find intriguing. I believe the best conversations happen when the heart is involved.

This was one of the best and most enjoyable experiences. I was a little unsure about the process since this was my very first lesson. However, Rubí was so friendly, caring, and helpful. We honestly fell right into our conversation at the start. The conversation flowed very easily and if there were moments where I could have used a different word, she would quickly make a suggestion in the chat without having to stop the entire conversation. In only 30 minutes, she gave me so many tips and suggestions that I was so impressed by how much I got out of this short amount of time. I am looking forward to more lessons in the future!

Rubí breaks the mold when it comes to teaching Spanish and if I could, she’d get more than five stars! I honestly felt like I was just catching up with an old friend because she makes you feel very comfortable and we can talk about anything. I only wish I started learning with Rubí sooner! She has an amazing personality, great energy and nothing but good vibes all the way through. Muchas gracias y nos vemos pronto, amiga!!
