Hello! I'm Alain Sylla, a passionate and experienced language teacher with a love for music, travel, reading, writing, and photography. I have a Master's degree in Education. At 36 years old, I bring my enthusiasm for exploring new cultures and experiences into every lesson. As a teacher fluent in five languages, I tailor my support to each student's abilities and needs. Understanding their interests allows us to create a personalized learning path. By employing both the communicative and cafeteria-based approaches, I meticulously plan each lesson to engage students at all levels. Active participation in the learning process not only enhances their understanding and enjoyment but also makes the learning process more meaningful, inclusive, autonomous, and motivating. I've done I think 150+ lessons with Alain. I've tried to work with multiple teachers on italki, and it didn't work out, I can say he's not only the best teacher on Italki, but probably the best teacher I've worked with in general.
He has a great lesson structure, with tons of material. Also, he's just fun to talk to in general even outside of that structure.

He is the type of French tutor I've been searching for!!!
He is very calm and patient, while still being very organized and serious about my progression. Each moment of class is spent productively. I am a student starting from ground 0. All I knew is "Bounjour", and in two sessions - I think I am already making great progress! French is pretty intimidating for me, so having a great tutor is a huge help.
