Hello. My name is Jason. I've taught English on italki for a year. I am TEFL-certified, and as I have a BA in journalism, I've been published in newspapers and magazines, both print and online. I also perform standup comedy, so my passions all center around the English language. I live in the US city of Seattle, Washington. I am a native speaker of American English. I enjoy learning French (here on italki), getting out into nature, reading, world cinema and writing.教学经验
I offer several options for your English learning journey:
- Accelerated English - Intermediate & Advanced: professionally designed curriculum for rapid progress. Each week you get a series of exercises based on a theme, then practice what your learn through conversation. Effective, efficient & engaging!
- English Conversation Practice: informal conversation where the topics are chosen by you or me and I offer you feedback to keep your language skills sharp.
- American Cultural History: a fun class where I help you understand American culture through comedy, film and music. I send you materials each week and we discuss. Recommended for high-intermediate & above.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
As a language learner myself, I find the best way to learn is to talk about things that interest me. If you aren't sure what you want to discuss, I will ask you questions to get the conversation going.
I offer help when I see you struggle, but do my best to also be encouraging; language learning is hard work! I can select American music, videos, articles, etc. to help you learn and stay engaged. If you take my Accelerated English course, you will have access to a variety of engaging teaching materials to improve grammar, listening, reading, writing and vocab!我的教学资料
