Hello and welcome to my profile! My name is Jana, I am from beautiful Prague and I will be happy to help you learn or improve your Czech. I've always loved learning languages and knowing people from different cultures and countries. Traveling, hiking, cycling, reading and dancing are just a few of my other passions. I'm talkative and love to meet new people. I'm a very patient, flexible, creative and a supportive teacher. I will help you to develop your skills and get the best out of you. Don’t worry about making mistakes. I am here to help you ! I have been working as a public university teacher of Czech for foreigners over 18 years. I also worked in language schools and I have a lot of experience with one on one lessons. My students have been from all over the world. I'm sorry, but I don't teach children. I'm not qualified to do so. Only adult students, please. My methodology is based on a communicative approach. I teach my students to start implementing new grammar and vocabulary in speaking and it helps them keep the obtained knowledge in active and long-term memory. However, every student is different and I adapt to you. Do not hesitate to tell me what works and what does not work for you to have an effective class. I prefer to work in a friendly and open environment, so let’s be open and enjoy our class together.

Yana is the best teacher I have had in my life.  She is very talented, loves language very much and is incredibly charming and pleasant. Each lesson flies by with interactive exercises and conversations. The quality of Yana’s preparation for lessons is beyond praise, you can feel the vast experience behind her. She carefully approaches homework checking, analyzing all mistakes, and knows the individual needs and approach to each of the students. I can truly recommend Jana as a teacher. She has huge knowledge and really can explain to you every detail from grammar the way you will totally understand it. I have very good experience with exam preparation. We worked hard but in very nice and comfortable atmosphere so I had always been waiting for our lesson. If you want to make progress in your language skills Jana is the perfect candidate for you.
