My name is Thomas Inauen, I am 37 years old, come from Appenzell in Switzerland and currently live in Tokyo, Japan. After school, I learned the profession of carpenter and worked for some time in this field. In childhood I got interested in acrobatics and thought on the details of how to accomplish acrobatic tricks. It helped me to start teaching acrobatics and also develop my own online courses. For a long time I practice and teach Aikido. I spend time in Japan and Switzerland, working online as a self-employed martial arts and acrobatics instructor and language teacher. I have a passion for languages, mastering foreign languages helps me a lot and that's why I want to help you too.教学经验
I have been working as a tutor on italki for 3 years and during this time I have gained a lot of experience. I can also look back on over five years of online acrobatic coaching with students from all over the world and taking care of Japanese Aikido teachers during their stay in Switzerland and help them as a translator. This provided me many good insights and clues on how to use and teach foreign languages to other persons.
I recently set up my own Youtube channel, "Swiss German Storytime", with helpful posts on reading and listening comprehension. I also have a Patreon page where you can find many Swiss German and High German contributions and serve as a learning platform for you.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
In my classes we will focus mainly on conversation. I believe it is one of the best ways to learn a language and we can talk about any topics that are interesting to you. I will correct your mistakes and give you new vocabulary on your way. You can ask me any questions and if you have grammar that you might struggle with we can talk of those together.
If you already know of any specific questions or things you would like to have covered, please tell me before the lesson and send me the info materials like PDF files, pictures etc.I am very open to suggestions and want to create the best possible learning experience for you!

Thomas creates a safe environment where you feel comfortable talking freely in German and are not scared or feel judged about making mistakes. He always listens and helps kindly and effectively. Over our lessons, I feel that I have improved with being able to say more in German and also with the confidence he has given me to do so. I would highly recommend him!!
