Most important: Hussain is very knowledgeable on Dari, speaks very good English, and his audio and video quality are very clear. I enjoyed my first lesson with Hussain. I have found most teachers have bad audio or do not speak English very well but Hussain was excellent in both regards. This alone makes me certain he is probably one of the better teachers for Dari on iTalki During the first lesson we discussed the alphabet and some basic greetings. Since I already know B1 Arabic this may not have been necessary but Hussain could not have known this. I am excited to see how our following lessons will go and to see his teaching in action for things I am a complete stranger to.

I’ve went through 3 different teachers for Dari and Husain has been the best teacher that I’ve had so far. He’s flexible and he also explains the differences of formal/informal and written vs spoken language which is very important to distinguish.

A good first lesson with Hussain. There was attention for colloquial language but the written language was kept in focus at my request. It does feel useful to at least be passively exposed to the colloquial forms so that listening will become easier down the line, even though my main goal is the Classical poetry. In the lesson Hussain and I spoke about as much in Persian, so there was a good balance between speaking and listening and we also did a lot of reading. His speaking was at a slow pace appropiate for beginners and hence I did not experience it as a burden but rather a level-appropiate exercise. I am pleased.

Hussain is an excellent teacher. I have been learning Persian for many years now and Hussain is absolutely my favourite teacher. I highly recommend Hussain to anyone who wants to learn from someone who knows how to teach in a clear and fun way.

I only had a trial lesson so far but I felt at home and in good hands.

My farsi has become much better since starting lessons with Hussain. I am very happy with him as a teacher.
