Marta is a great teacher that I would definitely recommend. Her classes have a good mix of informal conversation practice and formal learning, with good training materials and homework/revision also (if you want it). Small assignments between classes, such as watching a video on a certain topic in Spanish, help keep you engaged and provide a jumping-off point for the next lesson, without making you feel too burdened if you have a busy life.

I have been working with Marta for several months now. She is terrific to work with; not only is she always upbeat and easy to talk with (she is very fluent in English also), but she has a seemingly limitless short and fun exercises to help teach you in specific areas where you may have a weakness. My ability to speak Spanish has gone from very halting and nervous when we first started to being much more comfortable and flowing with language. I can't recommend her highly enough!

I have met regularly with Marta for over 2 years. When we started, it was very basic conversations and I could really only talk in the present tense as I was somewhere in the "intermediate beginner" level. Now, I am somewhere in the "advanced intermediate" level and can hold an advanced conversation and am comfortable with various past, future and perfect tenses, and even work in the occasional subjunctive! Marta is not just someone who will listen to you speak and give a correction or two. She not only has a library of content and practice items to share with you, she listens to when you say "I feel uncomfortable with X" - and then next week, voila, you have a personalized lesson on chemistry, or a TV series, for example. She is truly an experienced "tutor" that is focused you helping you learn what YOU want. She is wicked intelligent, very fluent in English and just a kind, patient and wise teacher. She is a key piece of my Spanish education and I highly recommend her.
