My name is Travis. I'm 31 years old, from the United States, and I love sharing and learning languages. I've been sharing my native language, English, online with non-native speakers since I was 14. I love learning about different cultures and meeting new people. I'm currently learning Brazilian Portuguese here on italki as a student and thought it would be the perfect platform to meet people looking to improve their English skills.

I focus on real-world applications and want to help you build the skills to learn and use the language naturally. I believe the most important aspect of language is sharing ideas. My goal is to accommodate your needs as a learner and make our conversations something you can practice here and apply in your daily life. I want to create a space where you feel comfortable taking risks and playing with the language so you can build the confidence to express your ideas fully and honestly. I like to make learning a fun and natural process by getting to know your interests and goals, then shaping our conversation practice around expanding your vocabulary in areas you’re already familiar with.
