Hello! My name is Gábor, and I'm from Hungary. I have a PhD in linguistics, and a deep passion for languages.
I am a researcher, and I have spent half of my life with the serious study of various languages in an academic setting, such as Arabic, Persian, Hindi, and Indonesian. I like the idea of formal, classroom style learning, but I also know the value of casual conversation. In my classes I like to combine the best of both worlds: I will teach you the concepts you need to know, and help you to actually use the language. Whether you live in Hungary, planning to visit, or just for your personal interest, I'm excited to share the beauty of this unique language.
教学经验
I am casual but direct. I am organized, I like to do things in some kind of order to help us keep track of progress. I am also detail oriented, I believe that one of the keys to learning a language is understanding the rules, so I will explain the reasons behind everything; it's hard to just memorize stuff.
That being said, everyone has their own style and pace, and I actually enjoy being helpful in a way that suits a student's specific needs. So, if you are not a beginner or have any particular language goals, just say so I am more than happy to adapt.
Kalau anda mau, saya bisa mengajar pakai Bahasa Indonesia juga, tapi sekarang saya bukan lancar, saya sudah ingat banyak koskakata. Ayo!
我提供的课程和我的教学风格
As I mentioned in the video, the primary goal is communication. Getting to a level where you are confident to move beyond small talk is the way to go, because then you will start picking up the language on your own, and you will gradually have a deeper understanding.
I usually like to follow a book to give us structure, which we can complement with videos, news articles, songs or even poetry, and I am also gonna give you some homework...
Whether you live in Hungary, planning to visit, or just for your personal interest, I'm excited to share the beauty of this unique language, and I think my experience with linguistics and decades-long language learning equips me to be an efficient tutor.
