With Vanessa we focused initially on learning how to express myself in the past tense. It's still difficult for me to remember spontaneously the different endings. However, on a recent trip to Spain I felt much more comfortable trying to speak and people understood me. It's been great having someone like Vanesa to practice my skills because she's patient and and puts you at ease.

I’ve only had a couple of lessons with Vanesa so far, but I can already see what a huge benefit she’ll be to my Spanish journey. I’m an intermediate learner who still gets lost in conversations and struggles to say things correctly, but Vanesa is already helping me push past those hurdles. She has a great way of spotting the specific types of mistakes I tend to make—like in our last class, she helped me work through my “por vs. para” confusion, even while we chatted about a range of topics. That kind of targeted correction is exactly what I’ve been looking for. She’s easy to talk to, patient, and really knows how to support Spanish learners. I’m looking forward to taking more consistent lessons with her!

Vanesa is seriously one of the best teachers I’ve ever had 😄. She’s super friendly, down to earth, and funny. She remembers sooo much about my life and always asks a ton of questions, which helps my Spanish a lot because I end up speaking naturally instead of feeling like I’m just doing exercises the whole lesson. She’s energetic and super nice, but she’ll also call me out when I’m avoiding the stuff I actually need to study 😂, and honestly I need that. She explains grammar and tenses REALLY well and somehow makes things feel way less intimidating. You can tell she genuinely loves teaching Spanish and cares about her students improving. Also, she’s super flexible, patient, encouraging, and just overall a bada$s teacher. I always leave class feeling more confident and motivated. If you’re thinking about taking lessons with her, DO IT!

Vanesa had me create alternate endings for a video we watched, so I learned A LOT of vocab (which also means she was very patient with me while I tried to explain my creative thoughts). Today’s class was super engaging and fun. As always, 1000/1000 will recommend ☺️
