I was born in Yokohama and currently reside in Spain. It's been eight years since I began teaching Japanese here. Initially, I started with private lessons at a local language school, then moved on to small group sessions, and eventually began teaching online as well.
During my free time, I love immersing myself in nature—enjoying hikes or relaxing on the beach. I'm also passionate about cooking and have recently become fascinated with fermented foods, experimenting with various types. Additionally, I have a fondness for houseplants. Besides Japanese, I speak English and Spanish. While these languages are still a work in progress, I strive to improve daily.教学经验
I have lived in Spain since 2016 and have taught Japanese to Spanish students in several language schools in person to children and adults in small groups and one-to-one. During this time, I also completed a Advanced Japanese teacher training course at The World Japanese Language Center in Australia. I now teach online classes to groups and one-to-one.
I worked for a number of companies including a major Japanese electronics company past 20 years in Japan and through my working experience in Japan, I have also mastered honorifics and business manners, so if necessary, we can also practice business conversation such as Keigo together. 我提供的课程和我的教学风格
The most important thing to know, is that our lessons will be fun, friendly, and enjoyable. I love to teach through conversation, I am the teacher but the lesson is based on you. I will always have a lesson planned, but I like to adapt the lesson as we go, for whatever suits you best on the day. I am currently learning Spanish and English so I understand the difficulty and embarrassment you can sometimes feel when trying to learn a language. You will never feel embarrassed with me. I encourage my students to feel as relaxed as possible, and try to build a good relationship between student and teacher. I’m sure we’ll have fun studying Japanese together!我的教学资料

Eriko-sensei is easily my favorite Japanese teacher I have had since I began my journey to learn Japanese 5 years ago (and I have had a few since they either stopped teaching or were not a good fit for me). She is very caring and attentive to the needs of the student and tailors the lesson around what they need to succeed. She is also a very kind person. I highly recommend anyone no matter what level you are at to work with Eriko-sensei as it can only make you better.

I have been studying Japanese for 5+ years and Eriko-sensei is very skilled at both spotting and filling in my gaps in grammar and vocabulary. She always takes the time to give me homework and feedback. I've been a teacher myself for more than ten years, so I'm a very picky student, but Eriko-sensei is clearly a skilled and dedicated teacher and I'm lucky to have found her. Thank you, Eriko-sensei!

Estoy muy contenta con mi progreso en japonés. :)
Las clases son dinámicas, amenas y están bien estructuradas, lo que hace que se avance sin sentir frustración o bloqueo. Eriko siempre ofrece materiales variados que realmente ayudan a entender y practicar el idioma.
Además, tiene muchísima paciencia y sabe motivar, lo cual marca una gran diferencia. Después de haber intentado aprender japonés un par de veces en los últimos años sin éxito, por primera vez siento que realmente estoy aprendiendo.

I had a wonderful first lesson with Eriko-sensei. She is so friendly and easy to talk to. When I didn’t understand a word, she typed it out and explained what it means in an easy to understand way. I look forward to learning more from her. (:
