CIE A Levels - Cambridge International Examinations - 2016I studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at a Pre-University level or Year 1 of the American college system. It is also Year 1 of medical school in some countries. The course follows the Cambridge syllabus and the final exam is marked by CIE.

I was top of the class and form in English for the majority of my time during my upper secondary years. I was also part of the school debate team.

All academic classes were conducted in English.
We had some modules in Malay too.
I also took German classes for a year, passing the A2+ level exam.

Home TutorI taught schoolchildren, aged 6-18, English, Malay and Mandarin Chinese using the Malaysian and International syllabus (IGCSE) Mandarin Chinese, Malay and English. The students included both native and second language students. I helped them grasp language concepts, learn vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening and speaking, so that they could both pass their exams with flying colours (good grades) and be able to converse freely in the target language.

Today we clearly defined topics to focus on for future lessons (a combination of stuff I want to learn and stuff that's more practical) as well as areas for improvement when it comes to speaking/writing closer to how a native speaker would. Thanks to Kai I was able to create more concrete goals for my Chinese learning!
