I am deeply passionate about teaching, and I find immense joy in helping my students achieve their goals in learning English, Swahili or Kikuyu. After taking lessons with Teacher Ruth for just a few months, my Swahili has gone from absolute zero to understanding the principles of grammar and sentence structure, as well as a significant amount of vocabulary. I'm able to form sentences on my own and we're now readily progressing through conversational skills. It feels amazing to be able to make so much progress in such a short period of time. Mwalimu Ruth is great at finding your level and adding/reviewing skills where needed. She personalizes lessons and helps in the areas you don’t feel as confident in. Meeting with her multiple times a week has definitely increased my confidence so far
