Hi, My name is Andrew Polk. I am generally a modest person with a big heart and a passion for living my life to the fullest in simple ways: being the best teacher I can be, enjoying my family life, playing tennis, reading books, listening to music, cooking and a few other things.教学经验
I am a great listener and a fast typer, so I don't have to verbally correct my students. I type the corrected form of what the student was attempting to say. I have received a lot of positive feedback from my students for correcting them in this way. My sessions always generate some laughter. Learning a second language by having fun is the best way to learn it. I also write my own lessons customized to meet the individual student's needs. 我提供的课程和我的教学风格
I teach using a student-centered approach asking questions which center around the student. This technique gives the student a lot of time to speak. For example, Lesson 907 which I wrote is titled "Resetting your brain." The topic is stress. It's a cool story. After reading the story, I ask student-centered questions such as 1. What are your methods for lowering your stress levels? 2. Who or what causes you to feel stressed out? 3. How do you like to relax? 4. Do you think taking a nap is a good way to lower your stress? 5. On a scale of 1 to 10, how stressful is your life currently? The goal is to ask the student a lot of interesting, student-centered questions.我的教学资料

I am very satisfied with Andrew. He is patient, easy to understand, and his lessons are original, fun, and never boring. He has a great sense of humor and a similar view on life as I do, so our lessons often feel like a good conversation, not a class. Andrew likes to say that he is a philosopher – and honestly, he might be right. His views on life are deep, but explained in a simple and clear way. Thanks to him, my English is improving without stress. Learning with Andrew feels more like talking with a smart friend than sitting in a classroom.
