Misa

I love my Japanese conversations with Misa. She is so much fun to talk to. We share a common interest in food and chatted about places we've been to and what they were like, and what the Japanese restaurants are like in the places we live in. She also helped me with some children's stories I've been reading to explain the unfamiliar vocab that I couldn't get. She's very easy to talk to and we always have lots of fun chatting and laughing about various things. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

She helped me set realistic expectations for my goals and what she can do. Very good. 👍

It was a really enjoyable lesson. We did some of the Genki textbook and also had a little (easy!) conversation in Japanese, which was great fun. I learnt lots of words and phrases that will be very useful for my Japanese in the future. Misa is always patient, friendly and encouraging. I can see that she is very adaptable, as she made sure the lesson was exactly what I wanted. I am also very happy that she gives me homework and provides helpful feedback.

I consider Misa to be the most exceptional instructor I've encountered in any structured learning environment. Misa truly stands out. Her patience is remarkable, making every learning session a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Her positive attitude is infectious and uplifting. She approaches every lesson with enthusiasm, ensuring that each step of the learning journey is exciting and filled with potential. What truly sets her apart has been her ability to guide and encourage me effectively. She was immediately able to put me at ease, a skill I think is essential to fostering a positive learning environment. Her constructive feedback is a valuable tool, and her guidance is both precise and encouraging, allowing me to see progress and build confidence. Her patience, positivity, and effective guidance have enabled me to make significant strides. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who, like myself, is a first time learner of a foreign language; she is exceptional.

Misa Sensei has done a fantastic job at guiding and building on our Japanese conversation practice week after week. She is professional but very kind and encouraging. I don't feel embarrassed to try speaking, rather, she helps me know how to say things more naturally and fluently. Although I haven't taken any grammar or JLPT-type lessons from Misa Sensei, as a conversation partner and guide, she is really superb!
