I'm Stefanie, I'm 39 years old and I live in Bavaria, in Germany. I've always been interested in foreign languages and studied English and Spanish to be a translator, even though I work as a freelance teacher and artist these days. At the moment I'm learning Dutch and Polish, and I have a long list of other languages I still want to pick up. I'm also interested in art (mainly drawing), hiking, playing the piano, photography, and basically anything creative. I'm also a very tolerant and easy-going person.

I'm a very patient teacher, because I'm learning languages myself and I know how frustrating it can be sometimes. I enjoy helping my students and I make sure my lessons are focused on you and your individual needs.
Unfortunately, because it keeps happening, I need to point out the following:
** No-shows and late cancellations **
According to the italki rules, cancellations are not possible within 24 hours before the lesson. I understand that sometimes unexpected things happen, so I grant students one exception every three months. After that, the student will have to pay the full amount. I hope you appreciate the concession but also understand the limit. 我提供的课程和我的教学风格
I encourage you to actively use the language you are learning from the beginning as that is the best way to progress fast. Any mistake is a chance to learn something new, so I want you to not be afraid of mistakes.
In case you are struggling with listening comprehension, please don't worry, it is totally fine for me to speak extra slowly or repeat words as often as necessary.
I will always adapt the lessons to your needs.
We will speak in German as much as possible, but we can always switch to English, Spanish or Dutch whenever it is needed.我的教学资料

Stef's great to work with. I'm struggling with conversing in German, forever making mistakes and talking slowly, but Steffi's very patient in letting me finish and explaining improvements. And she's great at finding new material and explaining nuances between words. I heartily recommend her.
