Hi, I’m Mei. Nice to meet you.
I was born and raised in Japan, studied in Canada, and worked in Dubai as a flight attendant.
Through that experience, I learned how to communicate with people from many different backgrounds and cultures.
Now, I teach Japanese online.
My goal is to help you speak naturally and confidently, not just memorize grammar.
I can teach in English and Japanese, so beginners and shy speakers are always welcome.
Lessons are calm, friendly, and adapted to your pace.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy yoga, cooking and reading.

Mei is a fantastic teacher, we had a wonderful lesson! We had a great conversation in Japanese, she adjusted to my level and gave feedback and helpful instructions. My confidence felt much higher at the end of the lesson. Additionally, she provides a pdf lesson summary afterwards, with topics covered and new vocabulary/phrases. I highly recommend taking lessons from Mei!

Very fun and friendly lesson with Mei san, The conversation flow was amazing and I felt motivated to speak about various topics, Mei san brings the new expressions and words throughout the conversation in a very smooth way that wouldn't interrupt the conversation which is amazing! Looking forward to the upcoming lesson :D
