Hi, I’m AKI, a certified Japanese teacher with 10+ years of teaching experience and 15+ years of work experience in the IT and web industries.
I welcome learners of all levels – from complete beginners preparing for JLPT to professionals aiming to build a career in Japan.
In my lessons, you will learn:
- Everyday Japanese for conversation and travel
- JLPT preparation (N5–N1)
- Practical Japanese for the workplace and job interviews
- IT-related vocabulary and real company communication
My specialty is helping learners succeed in IT and digital industries in Japan.

Japanese language teacherI've started teaching Japanese because my ex-husband was a foreigner. He came from Tunisia and his Japanese level was absolutely zero. But I taught him Japanese from writing hiragana and katakana. Now he's working for a company in Kobe.
I used to teach Japanese on italki around 2017. I was just a community tutor, but most of my students required me at higher level of Japanese grammar or vocabulary, not only a free-conversation. So I decided to get a certificate of teaching Japanese.

We had a great lesson where I could train myself to explain design project I did during my job. It was a bit difficult since I don’t know enough vocabulary but Aki was here to help me and learnt me the good words to use for my presentation and how to present a design project during an interview !

Had a very productive lesson with Aki sensei today. Today we focused in all grammar points in Genki 1's Chapter 4.
There are times that I find it confusing, but Aki sensei is patient with me. And corrects my mistakes and give me some tips in how can I say it naturally.
Looking forward with my next lesson with her.

Aki-san is a wonderful classic teacher. I had a trial lesson and it was great. We practiced grammar topics that I had requested before, we also had a nice talk about daily life things. Very nice and professional atmosphere. Highly recommend the teacher.
