Hello! My name is Amanda. I'm a 29 year old teacher, mother to two children, and married to my lovely husband, Ezekiel. I currently live in America. I lived in Seoul, South Korea as an English teacher in 2014 and 2015 and have visited 14 countries. Learning languages is one of my favorite things to do along with running, writing novels, cooking, reading, and hiking. I currently study Korean on italki, with a goal of reaching an advanced level next year. When I have time, I learn a little bit of Spanish and Japanese for fun.

教学经验

I've been teaching for a decade with students from as young as three years old through adults. I have experience with every age level and English proficiency level. I currently director and teach an ESL program in my city, working with Spanish speakers, who are mostly beginners at learning English. I have a TEFL degree and have five years of English as a Second Language teaching experience. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Special Education. In the future, I would like to enter a doctorate program in Linguistics.

I love to make connections with students so that we can talk about our lives. I enjoy laughing and having fun because it can help memory when we do something we enjoy. I believe input is the best way to learn a language so I will help you have a conversation, practice many sentences so you can begin to see patterns, and recommend content that you can watch, listen to, and read to improve your skills. I've written two full-length novels and have started two others so I can work through any writing you have done and help make corrections. You can tell me the best way for you to learn so we can work together on a learning plan. After class I will send you a document summarizing what we learned.
