Hello and welcome! 😊
I’m Marylène, a French native speaker currently living in Scotland. I’m passionate about languages, travel, art and illustration. I also enjoy long walks in nature, as well as watching films and series.
Before becoming a tutor, I worked for several years as a florist in Paris, where I was also responsible for training apprentices. This experience taught me how important it is to adapt to each learner’s needs and to create a positive, supportive environment where everyone can progress at their own pace.
In my lessons, the focus is on natural conversation in French. You’ll have the opportunity to practice speaking about topics you enjoy, build confidence, expand your vocabulary, and strengthen what you already know in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
■ As a community tutor, I specialize in conversation practice only. I do not teach formal grammar or conjugation rules. My sessions are ideal for learners who want to improve their fluency and speak French more naturally with a native speaker.

Je suis toujours très contente de mes leçons avec Marylène. Elle est une prof magnifique et encouragente. Elle sait comment gerer une discussion d’une manière très fluide, j’ai l’impression de parler avec une anciene amie plutot qu’une institutrice. Je suis devenue beacoup plus confiante au cours de notre leçons et je la reccomendrais à la communaute d’iTalki sans hésitation :)
