Hallo zusammen! I'm a writer, lecturer and teacher engaged in making art and culture accessible—and that is understandable—for everyone. Since my studies (BA & MA) in Germany, Egypt and India, I have been working in various self-organized and community-based projects where I could bring this vision forward. Overall, I'm interested in the question how different languages shape a different way of thinking, which I have encountered while learning different languages such as Latin, Greek, Arabic, Spanish and English. In my teaching, I apply creative and alternative teaching methods (flipped classroom, project based learning) and I find it particularly important to maintain a horizontal attitude towards my students. Instead of maintaining my authority, I tend to see my students as participants in a mutual effort of learning. I understand a teaching lesson as a collective experience rather than a lecture that is delivered only by the teacher. I always try to spark my students' interest by using different media in order to engage them with apparently less appealing topics such as German literature (Goethe, Kafka, Kleist, etc.) and philosophy (Hegel, Nietzsche, Marx, etc.).
