We had a lovely time talking about calligraphy and I learned a lot of vocabulary related to that! Also some grammar that happened to come up. I really appreciate that Aki-san takes time after the lesson to write out sample sentences using that vocabulary and grammar that I can use to review!

I am really impressed with how intuitive Aki-san is- she always picks up on the things that I'm struggling with, even if I don't realize what they are. Then she knows exactly what to do to help me improve. Additionally, she does all this while still having a fun and engaging conversation! ありがとうございました！また次のレッスンを楽しみにしています！

Another really fun lesson with Aki this week talking about how she recently made chicken adobo! The chicken parts that are best for making adobo, soy egg and tea egg recipes, the different ways we like to have coffee, and how convenient stores in Japan are so good and very different than in western countries. Such a fun time with lots of great topics, notes, and conversation!

I think I talked a lot today! 話しすぎました！I had a wonderful time talking about my Japan trip and also about how much Aki's conversation lessons help me to understand and speak more and more Japanese. And also to have the confidence to just speak it everywhere in hotels, the post office or just standing in line. Whenever someone can't speak English I can speak enough Japanese to get by and have lots of fun traveling Japan.

Very fun lesson talking about the wildfires in WA state and the effects on birds, hobbies we’ve had since we were children, how there are many different accents in English and how some are harder than others for us to understand, as well as the different pronunciations for the same characters across languages. Such a fun time with really interesting viewpoints and lots of great topics and laughs!
