Hello, thank you for your interest! I’m Daphne from Taiwan, a professional Mandarin teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching Chinese at the university level. I specialize in using interactive activities to help beginners build a strong foundation—from grammar and everyday conversations to creating short stories. My students often say my classes feel “as relaxed as chatting with a friend,” yet they make steady progress without even noticing. My favorite thing to do is gaze at the clouds. Want to learn practical, non-boring Mandarin? Whether you’re starting from zero or looking to improve, I’ll tailor a “learn with a smile” course just for you! It has been over 15 years since I taught Chinese as a second or foreign language. I like to have some activities when I teach. I think, activities are able to help teachers and students interact better in classes and activities can create happier atmosphere in classrooms. Customizing is what I emphasize in my 1 by 1 lessons. Dafne explains pronunciation very well and gives a lot of examples, also explains the differences in taiwanese/mainland china pronunciation

Dafne laoshi is trully professional teacher - she has great communication skills and explain things well and clear. But mostly she has a bubbling personality like sunshine. I really loved our first lesson and hope to study more with her.
