I'm a teacher for absolute beginner of Japanese language.
I’m native Japanese speaker who born and raised in Japan.
Until now, I’ve taught over 3,500 Japanese lessons for 600 students since April 2013.
My lesson is suitable for working professional, entrepreneur, or students who love Japanese culture, history, or willing to traveling to Japan.
I can teach from completely beginner to advance students.

Airbnb experience hostI'm a Tour Coordinator & guide in Kyoto Japan.
After I worked for a tour company for about a year, I became self-employee and became a Airbnb experience host.
Now I offering Maiko, Geisha apprentice, tour/ Private tour/ Sake tour etc. and over 60 people who took my italki lessons visited me in Kyoto and took my tour as well.

I am honoured to be a staff of the Ship for World Youth family, having been a member of SWY24 which sailed from Tokyo to Sri Lanka, India, and Singapore during January- March 2012. SWY is an international program sponsored by the Japanese government to foster understanding and goodwill among young people across many nations. SWY24 included around 260 youth from 14 participating countries.

I am honoured to be a staff of the Ship for South East Asia Youth family, having been a member of SSEAYP which sailed from Tokyo to Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, ad Vietnam, during October- December 2011. SSEAYP is an international programme sponsored by the Japanese government to foster understanding and goodwill among young people across ASEAN countries and Japan. SSEAYP38 included around 328 youth from 11 participating countries.

あかり先生は素晴らしい先生です。Akari-sensei is an exceptional teacher. Extremely knowledgeable, but also down to earth and patient. I appreciate the mix of textbook instruction with casual conversation. I also really respect her business hustle with her airbnb tours. And I hope to take one of her tours one day when she's not escaping from the Kyoto hot summers haha. Overall, make sure to book a lesson with her. 全体的に、本当に頭が良くてやさしい人です。

Really enjoyed the experience and was going to learn to speak Japanese but the facilitator helped guide me more on travel (which was helpful). Booked another lesson learn Japanese but happy with the way this worked.

Araki san addressed all of the concerns I had with where I'm at in my Japanese learning journey. She was attentive and helped me clarify my path forward from here. She helped me build some confidence in my speaking abilities, which is something I didn't even mention to her. I highly recommend working with her if you have the opportunity.
