My classes discussing literature with Bernardo (Don Quijote specifically), have been a wonderful way to acquire Spanish organically. Bernardo is very knowledgeable and extremely patient, which makes the class feel very safe and makes learning seem effortless.

The best teacher I've had on here! Bernardo brought things to work on, and was so easy to talk to. I feel like I learned more in this hour of Spanish than in anything else I've done. Thank you so much! I'll definitely have more lessons.

In our "Let's THINK in Spanish" sessions, Bernardo often provides short or sometimes longer texts to read beforehand. In class, he asks open-ended and sometimes philosophical questions about the text, guiding me to think about the literary piece progressively, in ways that go beyond what's explicitly stated. What I especially like is that Bernardo asks open-ended questions, steering me in the right direction but also allowing me to interpret the stories my way. He seems to do it quite effortlessly! In short, this class has truly opened up my world to literature reading. I'd highly recommend it!

Bernardo is an excellent teacher, smart, kind, patient, with a deep interest in literature. We are close reading a short story, El Chico Sucio, line by line, to improve my Spanish skills and pronunciation, as well as to analyze and discuss the craft of writing from a Spanish viewpoint.

Bernardo a une façon originale de parler littérature avec des textes courts, mais qui se prêtent à de nombreuses interprétations et explications. Cela donne lieu à de très intéressantes discussions. Bernardo parle et explique très clairement, donne à l'écrit un résumé des corrections faites durant la leçon. Travailler avec lui, outre à être extrêmement agréable, est stimulant et enrichissant.
