Carla is an excellent conversation tutor! She can always figure out what the heck you are trying to say, even when you've long since forgotten what the jumbled mess of Portuguese coming out of your mouth was even supposed to be communicating. She provides lots of feedback on errors and words you don't know, but the conversation does not stop and you don't feel bad for making a mistake. I would highly recommend her as a conversation tutor! Run, don't walk, to book a lesson with her!

Carla is a wonderful teacher! It is always easy to talk to her, even as I stumble through my ideas or struggle to find the right word. She's great at asking questions and the conversation with her always feels very natural, like having a chat with a friend. I never feel awkward or uncomfortable during my lessons with Carla. I have been maintaining and slowly improving my portuguese with Carla on and off for probably 2 or 3 years now. We focus mostly on conversation and it works very well, Carla corrects me kindly and listens and is a great conversationalist.

This was my first lesson with Carla and I really enjoyed her teaching style. She corrected me with explanations and wrote down the corrections so I can refer to them for review. She was patient, present, and easy going.
