Hi, I’m Jieyu Yang (Iris) from Taiwan. Mandarin is my native language. I speak English and I’m currently learning Spanish — so I truly understand the joys and challenges of learning a new language!

I’ve been teaching Mandarin online for over three years. My students come from the Americas, Europe, and Asia — both adults and children. To continuously improve my teaching skills, I completed professional teacher training programs and earned a TCSOL certification (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) in June 2025.我提供的课程和我的教学风格

Iris is very good at teaching through speaking Mandarin as much as possible, using multiple ways to say something to explain the words I am confused about until I understand, usually without needing to resort to saying it directly in English. Her English is excellent, so when I have a question about some subtlety she is able to immediately understand and explain in English. I am very impressed by the effort she puts into making customized study materials for each class. I highly recommend her as a Mandarin teacher!
