I am a native speaker of English, born and raised in New York. I hold a PhD in linguistics from Stony Brook University. I have a true passion for pronunciation and grammar, and have taught university courses on phonetics and syntax for over 10 years.教学经验
I am comfortable teaching true beginners as well as highly advanced students, and am happy to tailor each lesson to your particular strengths and interests. I enjoy creating phonetics and grammar drills to work on students' weak spots, and establishing a warm, friendly environment where you can feel free to be as expressive as possible, knowing that your mistakes will be eventually be corrected, but not in a way that breaks up the flow of the conversation.我的教学资料

Russell, the English teacher I’ve always sought, is an exceptional linguist and a highly skilled language learner. Why do I recommend him? Well, he provided me with incredibly detailed feedback during our conversations (I’m not exaggerating). He explained how to improve my intonation, articulation, syntax, and vocabulary. I never get bored when I talk to him because he’s incredibly knowledgeable about a wide range of topics, including history, music, philosophy, and, of course, language learning. In my opinion, Russell is the ideal teacher for any dedicated and serious English learner.

Russel is amazing that he helped me correct a bunch of pronunciation and grammatical mistakes of me that I never noticed before. He gave me a lot of helpful tips of English speaking that I can use in daily life. I will continue my lesson with Russel from time to time more of a conversation type to level up my English learning in general! It’s great fun talking with Russel! 👍

我们大概说了自我介绍，时间很短，来不及说课程目标相关的话题。 Russell 会将语言知识辅助地引入，比如在对话框里默默订正表达用语。注重实际运用，他很友善大方，给人轻松的感觉，是随和和随性的人。他会给人自由和主导的空间。他教学的设计和风格是如何我不太了解，比较随性？还是有系统的？有结构的？有计划的？明确的？他的会给实用的表达，不会一上来就很学究，这点我很欣赏。
