Teaching Lithuanian since 2013 Hello everyone, my name is Antanas and I am a passionate teacher of Lithuanian language. I discovered foreign languages in 2010 and I have been learning them ever since. In 2013 I tried teaching Lithuanian to foreigners and I keep doing it till this day. I transfer my experience learning foreign languages myself to teaching and I think it is invaluable. I teach all levels - from zero to hero - and I mainly use my created content and materials. That way I can control the process easier and make sure that we learn what counts early on without spending too much time on exceptions etc. I am quite strict and I like people who do their homework. At the same time I am an easy going person and I like chatting with my students, make them feel comfortable and at ease. With beginners I use sentences mining method which is based on constructing simple yet meaningful sentences and learning necessary grammar along the way. I use dialogues, translation exercises, grammar tasks etc. to reinforce student's knowledge. I provide mp3 recordings for a student to listen to and I also give homework. Intermediate and advanced users should focus on using authentic Lithuanian content: be it conversations, podcasts, TV shows etc. In our lessons we discuss a lot of topics, uncovering necessary vocabulary and grammar topics in the process.
